What Happened at Deepwater Horizon? A Guest Lecture Event

Event Description
The College of Engineering and Applied Science, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Engineering Program present an exciting guest lecture event that you won't want to miss.
Featured speakers are Donald Winter, former Secretary of the Navy and leader of the National Academy of Engineering committee that investigated the causes of the Deepwater Horizon accident, and Paul Hsieh, a USGS scientist who just received the 2011 US Federal Employee of the Year award for critical modeling work that helped determine whether to keep in place the 75 ton cap that was used to temporarily stop the oil leak.
A dessert reception and networking opportunity will follow the speakers. Open to all students, faculty, and community members.
