Event Description

Creating a 50-Minute Lesson Plan for TA and Student Success in Recitation Sections
Mike Springer, Lead 2012–13, Chemistry
Adelle Monteblanco, Lead 2012-13, Sociology

(This workshop is part of the Fall Intensive 2013)

Recitation sessions are short and graduate students have very limited time to work with students every week. It is imperative, therefore, that what little time there is be spent effectively and efficiently. But with so much material and so little time, graduate students are often conflicted due to concerns with time-management and content review. In this session, we will explore these struggles and others related to creating an effective 50-minute recitation lesson plan.
