Shattering the Glass Ceiling: The Future for Women in Politics

Event Description
Join the Women’s Resource Center Monday, September 23rd from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. in the Women and Gender Studies Cottage as we discuss existing inequities in politics surrounding women’s representation in political office. Which stereotypes and setbacks are at work in limiting women’s ability to picture themselves in such careers? What will it take to finally shatter the glass ceiling? Hear from Professor Celeste Montoya, who teaches gender politics and works in the Women and Gender Studies Program, and undergraduate student, Chelsea Miller, who did advocacy work for women in Washington D.C. Come participate in discussion, eat snacks, and learn about the changing face of politics.
