FI 2013: Designing & Evaluating Effective Writing Assignments
Start Date: 8/21/2013Start Time: 2:30 PM
End Date: 8/21/2013End Time: 4:00 PM
Event Description:

Designing & Evaluating Effective Writing Assignments
Tracy Ferrell, Senior Instructor,
Program for Writing and Rhetoric

(This workshop is part of the Fall Intensive 2013)

Many first time teachers are shocked by the low quality writing that students turn in for writing assignments.  Instead of complaining about what students haven't learned before they got to your course, do something about it.  If your class requires papers, this workshop will walk you through designing writing assignments that will be clear and educational, while also showing you how to effectively evaluate student writing for course objectives.
