FI 2013: D2L and 7 Principles of Good Practice
Start Date: 8/23/2013Start Time: 2:45 PM
End Date: 8/23/2013End Time: 4:15 PM
Event Description

D2L and 7 Principles of Good Practice
Nigora Azimova, Amanda Seal McAndrew, and Andrew Saltarelli, Teaching & Learning Consultants, ASSETT

(This workshop is part of the Fall Intensive 2013)

A few decades ago Arthur Chickering and Zelda Gamson condensed a large corpus of research on teaching and learning best practices into the “Seven Principles for Good Practice in Undergraduate Education.” These principles have largely stood the test of time and, with the rise of the digital technologies, many efforts have been made to match the Seven Principles with affordances of these technologies. In this session, we will explore these principles, and match them with D2L’s functions that can help you plan, manage, and assess your courses and students.
