Flipping the Classroom: Create an Active Learning Environment For Students While Having Way More Fun Teaching.

(This workshop is part of the Fall Intensive 2013)

The ‘flipped’ classroom, an instructional format in which students explore content such as online lectures or other media outside of class and work interactively in class with other students, is becoming a popular teaching approach in the higher education classroom. In this session we will discuss why and how to flip a class and the potential benefits and pitfalls.
