End Date: 8/22/2013End Time: 4:00 PM
Event Description:

Writing As If You Didn’t Have To
Glenda Russell, Counselor, CAPS

(This workshop is part of the Fall Intensive 2013)

This workshop will be about the joys, the agonies, the pitfalls, the discipline, and the rewards of writing. We’ll discuss how having to write often gets in the way of writing. We’ll talk about some reasons to write that have nothing to do with having to write. And we’ll focus on some specific practices that may make it easier and more fun for you to write.

The presenter is a psychologist at Counseling and Psychological Services where she conducts a Dissertation Work Group and a Master’s Thesis Work Group. She has written two books, scores of journal articles and book chapters, a bunch of book reviews. And a handful of op-ed pieces—absolutely none of which she was required to write.
