Technology for College Teachers: Making Reading Collaborative: Using NB to Promote Reading
Start Date: 7/23/2013Start Time: 3:00 PM
End Date: 7/23/2013End Time: 4:30 PM
Event Description:

Moonhawk Kim, Assistant Professor, Political Science

In teaching any class that requires students to read and understand a set of assigned readings, instructors face a common problem. Students either don’t do the readings or do them at a level that is too shallow. I will argue that making reading a collective and collaborative enterprise is one solution to this problem. In this session, I will discuss the rationale, the benefits and the challenges of using a relatively new technological tool called NB.
