Who Bombed Judi Bari?
Start Date: 4/15/2013Start Time: 5:30 PM
End Date: 4/15/2013End Time: 8:00 PM
Event Description:
The Environmental Law Society presents the Colorado premiere of "Who Bombed Judi Bari?"--a documentary chronicling the myriad challenges facing environmental activists, and the lengths to which our own government will go to silence them. Stricken by cancer and close to death, Judi Bari--a leader of the movement to save California’s old growth redwoods--gives her testimony about the attempt on her life and her lawsuit against the FBI for trying to frame her and Darryl Cherney for a home-made pipe bombing that nearly killed Bari. It’s a story about beating the system and saving the trees; a film that resonates today as we face deteriorating civil rights and the huge ecological problems that bring us closer to catastrophic climate change.
