JCC's Author Month: Paul M. Levitt, PhD
Stalin's Barber
Thursday, April 11 @ 12:00PM
Boulder JCC
$8 for lunch and program

Dr. Paul M. Levitt is professor of English at the University of Colorado and the author of several novels, plays, and works of literary criticism. His fictional work, Stalin's Barber, is an irreverent epic about a Jewish barber, Avraham Bahar, who flees the persecution of Albania to seek a better life, ironically, in Stalinist Russia, where he curries favor with the Communist regime. Avraham becomes the personal barber of Stalin, as well as the many Stalin look-alikes that the paranoid dictator circulates to thwart possible assassination attempts - including a possible attempt by the barber himself.
