CU Grow Series: One-to-One Coaching
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The CU Grow: Management & Leadership Development Series is a campus program that brings supervisors, managers and leaders together with subject matter experts to explore timely, relevant, and influential topics. This annual series in current management issues enhances participant’s knowledge of the competencies and concepts utilized by successful managers and leaders. Current and aspiring managers and leaders from across campus are invited to attend the latest session in the series:

Register for One-to-One Coaching

As a manager at CU we are asked to supervise others. With supervision usually comes the expectation of holding one-to-one meetings (1:1s) with employees, BUT we are not taught the best ways to hold or handle 1:1s. We often learn from the 1:1s we have with our own supervisors. This session will provide an understanding what constitutes productive 1:1 meetings. Learn tips, tricks and coaching best practices to make your 1:1s more effective. The 1:1 is the foundation of connecting and coaching as a manager.

Date: Tuesday, March 28, 2017

Time: 9:00 am-12:00pm

Location: Center for Community (C4C) S350

Participants will be able to…

  • Communicate the benefits of 1:1 meetings with direct and indirect reports.
  • Apply various methods of structuring 1:1s to coach and support their employees.

Event Image Exhibition: Home: American photography at the CU Art Museum
11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Home: American photography at the CU Art Museum
March 2 - July 15, 2017

Is home “where the heart is”? Is it a building, a landscape or a state of mind? Drawn from the photography collection of the CU Art Museum, Home investigates how American photographers working from the late 1800s to today have engaged with these questions. Through a presentation of landscapes, family photos and candid portraits visitors are invited to consider central themes of the exhibition, including environment, nostalgia and family.

What does home mean to you?
We invite our guests to respond to the images and ideas presented in the exhibition by visiting a special programming space in our FlexSpace gallery, open from February 2, 2017–March 25, 2017.

This exhibition is generously supported by CU-Boulder Student Arts and Cultural Enrichment fees, and CU Art Museum members.
