Lens on Climate Change: Student Video Screening
Start Date: 3/23/2017Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 3/23/2017End Time: 1:30 PM
Event Description:
Please join the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) for a screening of student-produced, entertaining short films about climate change, followed by a reception. Middle school students have worked with the support of CU Boulder science graduate students and students from the Colorado Film School to capture how a changing climate affects their communities. Videos include live footage, interviews of experts and sketches to tell their stories. This festive capstone event spotlights their work and offers a glimpse into the way they experience the impacts of climate change in their communities. The students of diverse backgrounds come from Angevine Middle School in Lafayette, Westview Middle School in Longmont, Mead Middle School, Whittier K-8 in Denver and Kearney Middle School in Commerce City.
