Event Description:
The Research & Innovation Office (RIO) invites you to CU Boulder’s 2017 Big Data Blitz. The Blitz is intended to foster connections across disciplines that intersect with big data and help the CU community identify opportunities for collaboration. Chaitanya Baru, NSF’s senior advisor for Data Science in the Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate (CISE), will provide opening remarks, followed by several lightning-round presentations and a networking reception through 6:30 p.m.

The Blitz will touch on the following big data topic areas: sensing and social applications; environment; resources and power; materials, systems and methods; bioinformatics, medicine and health sciences; and society and humanities.
