Bess Krietemeyer | Hybrid-Reality Design: Bioresponsiveness in the Built Environment
Start Date: 3/13/2017Start Time: 5:47 PM
End Date: 3/13/2017End Time: 7:00 PM
Event Description:

Bess Krietemeyer is an architectural designer and researcher whose expertise lies at the intersection of advanced building technologies, interactive systems, and building performance simulation. She leads the Interactive Design and Visualization Lab at the Syracuse Center of Excellence, where her research focuses on hybrid-reality simulations for interactive design and energy analysis.

The human body’s perception of ambient energy flows in the built environment is a complex yet important consideration in designing high performance architectural systems, buildings and cities. Bess Krietemeyer explores how hybrid-reality platforms for experiencing bioclimatic flows in architectural design are empowering designers and end users to engage in collaborative design processes from diverse viewpoints and across spatial scales.
