Event Description
Join the Gender Justice League and a panel of professors and organization leaders to discuss the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
On January 2, 2013, the Senate's reauthorization of VAWA was not brought up for a vote in the House, effectively ending VAWA after 18 years. New provisions would have also provided coverage for LGBTQIA folks & immigrants. If you are wondering about how this will effect the people and programs protected under VAWA, please stop by and join the conversation! Half Fast Subs and hot cocoa will be provided. |
