Event Description A conference in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the UCB Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations. The two-day conference will begin Friday with welcoming remarks by Steven Leigh, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, at 9:00 AM.
Speakers include eight major scholars on Chinese medieval poetry: Pauline Yu, Stephen Owen, David Knechtges, Robert Joe Cutter, Ding Xiang Warner, Timothy Wai Keung Chan, Wendy Swartz, and Ping Wang. Presented by the President’s Fund for the Humanities, UCB Chancellor’s Office, UCB Vice-Chancellor for Research’s Office, Graduate Committee on Arts and Humanities, Center for Asian Studies, A&S Dean’s Fund for Excellence. |
