Event Description The Early Music Ensemble provides a forum for the performance and study of music primarily from the 16th to 18th centuries, with attention to period style, performance practices, and historical context. Students may participate in one or more of the following ensembles: vocal, string, mixed chamber, and guitar. Both modern and period instruments are used. The College owns nine Baroque bows and several reproductions of period instruments which may be used by participants.

Performance will include selections by Rameau, Telemann, Purcell, Blavet, and Handel.
