Event Description
Ethnic diversity is commonly talked about in the classroom setting, but religious diversity is less apparent and not as frequently addressed. According to surveys of the American public, most people know very little about Christianity--the majority faith in the U.S.--and almost nothing about non-Christian religions and New Religious Movements. This panel discussion seeks to improve the religious literacy of the CU-Boulder community. Students from various minority religious communities will share a bit about their religious beliefs and practices, their experiences at CU-Boulder, and ways that faculty and staff can be more aware of the needs of diverse religious practitioners.
