Event Description Bedtime Stories
Please join Associate Professor of Horn Michael Thornton as he brings to life a program of music that involves the spoken word. The special relationship of music and stories will be explored, and works will include Berio's “Opus Zoo” for Wind Quintet, McAlister's “Fox's Day Out” for Horn Quartet, Plog's “Animal Ditties,” and Till Eulenspeigel's “Merry Pranks” for chamber ensemble. Professor Thornton will be joined by colleagues from the Colorado Symphony and the CU Faculty, and there will be a special guest narrator.
