Event Description Archaeology is everywhere! Join us for this archaeological extravaganza as the University of colorado Museum of Natural History, Archaeological Institute of America and the Anthropology and Classics Departments join together to present family activities, research lectures and much more!
Information and demonstrations will be provided by: the Denver Museum
of Nature and Science, Egyptian Study Society, Colorado Archaeological
Society (Indian Peaks Chapter), History Colorado and PaleoWest
Archaeology.
Families will enjoy hands-on activities from around the world with
Mayan animal art, Egyptian scarab beetles, Navajo weaving and Roman and
Greek classical ceramic design!
Also enjoy a historical Roman enactor from the Denver Museum of
Nature and Science's "Day in Pompeii" exhibition, who will be wandering
the museum and interacting with visitors.
