Start Date: 10/26/2012Start Time: 7:30 PM
End Date: 10/26/2012End Time: 9:00 PM
Event Description

Free and open to the public.

Enjoy an original, creative musical performance that illuminates and highlights the 1922 horror classic Nosteratu

Performing original music for the film Nosteratu, the Boulder Laptop Orchestra (BLOrk) will feature six musicians playing laptops, iPhones and iPads while using Supercollider and Max MSP software.

Hemispherical speakers, whose special design models the sonic properties of acoustic instruments, will blend with traditional instruments –piano, violin, guitar and voice.

BLOrk is the ensemble-in-residence of the ATLAS Institute Center for Media, Arts and Performance and has produced numerous multimedia, interdisciplinary performances in the ATLAS Black Box theater. BLOrk partners with leading artists in the fields of music, visual arts and technological innovation.

Seating is limited and first-come, first-served. Audiences are advised to arrive a few minutes early.
